Alabama Basset and Bloodhound Rescue

Our adoption fees vary depending on age of the dog.  For instance, a healthy young dog of 2 years in age up to 8 years of age, the adoption fee would be $175.00.  For dogs a year and under and all puppies the fee is $200.00.  Seniors and mixed breed dogs will be evaluated on a case by case scenario.   If you are interested in adopting a pair, we will discuss the option of a reduced fee.  Bloodhounds will be $250.00.  Bloodhound puppies will be $300.00.

These fees do include a complete vet examination, all shots, worming, spay/neuter, heartworm test and prevention and treatment if they are heartworm positive.

If you are interested in adopting one of our hounds, please click on the link below to download our adoption application.  Once you get the form you can fill it out and either fax it to Haley Wilson at 256-574-4582 or copy and paste it into an email and send to abbr_rescue@yahoo.com   Once we receive your application we will give you a call to discuss it and to set up a time for a volunteer to come by and meet with you and your family in your home.  Once the visit has been completed they will send their report to the Adoption Coordinator who will contact you personally to talk with you about your choices.
