Alabama Basset and Bloodhound Rescue

These bassets need experienced dog handlers only and homes without children or other pets.  If you meet this criteria, please consider one of these wonderful dogs.

 Jordie, 5 year old female, picked up as a stray.  She is a very loving and sweet little girl who just needs to be near you all the time.  She looks for reassurance that everything will be ok. House-training is going well with a doggie door and she would probably do better as an only pet and no children.   She really needs a quiet laid back home to live.

          INTRODUCING OSCAR:

UPDATED 3/24/08:  Oscar is about 5 years old and has suffered some sort of abuse in his past.  He will need an experienced dog owner to adopt him and love and take care of him.  He is a very loving boy most of the time, he comes to you as if he is begging you to love him.  He has some trust issues involving food, so no children for him.  He is insecure but desperately wants to fit in.  If you think you can love Oscar the way he is and build trust in him, then contact us and we will talk about him in full detail.

ARTY:  a 2 year old male who is housetrained.  However he will need a experienced basset or dog home. He has a tendency of  trying to push you as far as he can get and will get testy if he doesn't get his way.... We personally have not seen that side of him but his previous family has told us about this behavior.
